Our Porters

At MTT, we believe that our porters are more than just support staff they are the unsung heroes of mountaineering. Our team includes two essential categories of porters

High-Altitude Porters

These remarkable individuals navigate the challenges of high-altitude terrain, working at elevations above 6,000 meters. Their extensive training and local knowledge equip them to tackle the rigors of mountain climbing, where every step can be a test of endurance and skill. High-altitude porters carry essential gear, set up camps, and provide critical support to climbers, often in harsh conditions. Their contribution is invaluable, and we prioritize their safety and well-being through fair wages, proper gear, and continuous training.

Low-Altitude Porters

Our low-altitude porters are equally vital, ensuring that every trek through lush valleys and forests runs smoothly. They bring experience and insight into the terrain, carrying supplies and equipment while enriching the journey with their knowledge of the local culture and history. These porters help create a welcoming atmosphere, allowing travelers to immerse themselves fully in the adventure ahead.
